THE SPELL CRAFTING DUNGEON CRAWLER
Galdur is a top-down dungeon crawler with a spell-crafting mechanic as its main feature. You play as a failed necromantic experiment that wakes up deep inside the dungeons built by a madman. Your goal is to find out who you were before the experiment and who did this to you, as you navigate these dungeons, filling your tome with instructions on how to cast an immense array of spells.
NOTE: This game is still early in development. Aesthetics are getting there, UI design has yet to be reworked, we're using lots of placeholders and almost everything related to the game's core design is subject to change.

Find archetypes and elements
Combine them in the crafting station
A Spell consists of two main ingredients: an Archetype and an Element. An Archetype defines the casting method that you cast the element with. So a Missile Archetype + Fire Element = Fireball (as shown above). These are found throughout the game as items.
Each item in the game has randomly generated affixes (rarer items having more). These affixes will modify the spell in simple ways (such as increasing damage or decreasing cooldown) or in major ways such as making it recastable or chargeable.
Another item you may find to further augment your spells are Augmentation Runes. They function similarly to how the affixes work on Archetypes and Elements but tend to alter the spell a lot more.
